This unique Mecedes Benz is one of a kind, The 540K debuted in 1936. - Nobody now how many was bulid some say 3 some other 6. Mercedes Benz in Sttugart told us that they know there build six cars In March of 1934, a new Mercedes debuted at the Berlin Car Show. The name of this car was "Autobahnen Kurierwagen 8-Zylinder Kompressor Typ 500".Mercedes built the new model on the existing W29 chassis. Talented craftsmen hammered and formed the metal into the shape you see in the photos. Back in the '30s such designs were called Stromlinienform and many fans of classic automobiles consider the Mercedes 540K Autobahn Kurier to be the most beautiful car ever made. This car is bulid on a chassisi of 1936 Mercedes Benz 540k ( Owner Ritter von Herz) the carftsmen work is done in incredibil work. (Restoration documentation available up on request.) Some consider the "Autobahn Kurier" to have been ahead of its time in terms of design. They are only 3 cars in the world, Known as chassis number 130898, it was gifted to Mohammed Reza Shah of Iran by the German (III REICH) government and spent most of it’s life in Iran. The second car is owned by Arturo Keller and won the award for the most elegant coupe - Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance his was followed up in 2008 by winning the Coppa d’Oro Villa d’Este.
