1956/1958 Tojeiro Jaguar

The car was built for the John Ogier team. Following the 1958 crash the car was once again rebuilt with new aero-dynamic body designed by Cavendish Morton, a Royal Academy artist. The fact is that this was the third MKIV built on 7’6” wheelbase. Unlike other Ogier’s Tojeros, the car was mostly raced in minor events, such as hill climbs, time trials and club races.
Today the car is in excellent condition, having raced only sparingly since major restoration by its current owner/driver. The car is aptly propelled by a prodified e-type 6-cylinder 3.8 engine and gearbox.  
Please keep in mind that this car is eligible for any prestige event on the world and that in its day it kept D-types and Listers honest, and on a good day it even beat them. Needless to say, the Listers and D-types sell today for three to four times the TAD 3/56 asking price.
At approximately 1600 lbs this incredible Jaguar powered racer can soon again could be trouncing much more expensive D-types and Listers……just like it did in old days.
